Association of Female Medical Laboratory Scientists of Nigeria provides laboratories with Quality Manuals to clearly communicate information, and to serve as a framework or roadmap for meeting quality system requirements.

Standard Operating Procedures
Association of Female Medical Laboratory Scientists of Nigeria provides a laboratories with Standard Operating Procedures for various medical laboratory tests according to the international standard: ISO 15189.

Management System Review
Association of Female Medical Laboratory Scientists of Nigeria helps laboratories review their quality management systems, procedures and processes according to ISO 15189.
The Association operates at: the National/Secretariat level, State/Branch level and Chapter/Institutional level. A Branch can only be established by the approval of the National Executive Council (NEC) of the Association and shall be located in state capitals and Abuja, Federal Capital Territory. The NEC on the recommendation of the state branch may from time to time approve the establishment of ‘Chapters’ as may be expedient.
Aims and objectives
- To foster unity among female laboratory scientists.
- To create awareness about the role of medical laboratory scientists in the society.
- To support the Association of Medical Laboratory Scientists of Nigeria in all its activities.
- To provide free test to indigent children and women.
- To enlighten the society about killer diseases.
- To combat pandemic like HIV/AIDS, Malaria, HBSAG, HCV.
- To promote understanding amongst the various health professionals based on equity, mutual respect and shared beneficial historical past.
- To mobilize Medical Laboratory Scientists towards self-actualization through the development of talents and creative application skills.
- To promote knowledge of medical laboratory science through meetings, seminars, discussions, reports and publications and to promote high standards in medical laboratory science education.
- To harness the resources, rights and privileges and opportunities accruing to Medical Laboratory Scientists and ensure that such rights, privileges, opportunities and resources are equitably applied for the collective benefit of the public.
